They came. On buses, airplanes, caravan of cars, bicycles, metro. A gathering of those who have the audacity to hope. Ordinary people with a sense of purpose and destiny, "they had to be here" is what I kept hearing. The immigrant family from Chile with a daughter celebrating her 9th birthday in the stands waiting, Chad Tong and his wife from Washington state. I didn't know these people before that day but I'm connected to them forever. I don't know the woman I hugged and hugged and cried with as Obama took the oath and yet I do. So here they are: We the People.
