Comfort and convenience is what we have gotten use to. It's as if we can't even think for ourselves any more. Americans, I'm speaking to all Americans. Many who go to church every Sunday but in the next breathe talk how fearful they are. You just wasted however many hours you spent in church. Fear can't reside with love or abundance. It is the anti everything. Markets go up and down all the time. American Africans get to wake up too. What is your dream. Not the one told to you by the media or some politician or bank but your dream. I believe today our youth are are defining what the American dream is for them. Owning a house is not my American dream. Yes I tried it. Interesting concept as well as having a new car every five years too. However that is not the foundation I came from. I quickly realized that credit or having credit has a down side. Owing people meant having to have a job to maintain a life style I didn't particular care when it was all said and done. I thought it was the thing to do, following others footsteps of now is the time to get a house and acquire things. It was nice for three years and then it felt like a burden. I thought I would never see daylight. Everyone has their dream and mine is seeing one of my screenplays on the big screen. I travel to much to own a home. Maybe land for later years but a house with all the fixings is not my ideal situation. Has anyone stopped to think that you get to pay for what you can afford. Middle aged folks are acting like they are entitled to having, having, having. In my opinion it has created a stagnant citizenry and contributes to the decline of ingenuity amongst us.
Instead of listening to what the market is or isn't doing, start living your dreams today. This is a great opportunity to start your business. The future is always uncertain so don't let that be a distraction. Risk takes courage and the willingness to fail and do it all again. As a progressive thinker I don't get waiting for Congress or even the President to change society. When it comes to Congress most people in office are taking care of their families and friends. I wonder when poor people will get it they are being used as pawns in a viscous hate game. Really. Any candidate worth 54 million dollars does not have you in mind. Your schools, community is failing because you think some how magically by electing any official things will go back to your normal. Your normal if born into working poor is poor. Only you can rise above it by thinking out of the box, living out of your comfort zone. Poverty is more a mind set than a physical incident. Define your own American dream, don't let someone tell you its owning a house. We live in a new millennium today. What defined our parents or even grandparents is not our banner to bear. We/I desire more freedom from traditional thinking who are dying and seeing their value system change. I respect my seniors. However many older baby boomers are clinging to the past instead of relinquishing to the youth the future which is theirs. With all the education and belief systems many still don't know how to release or pass the torch peacefully. Many are afraid of death and dying because the grace of it has been hurried by a society on the go. We all make choices even when not participating you are making a choice. The challenge today is to be present in it. To live life in the moment. To read, investigate beyond a sound bite. Turn off the television and go outside and be in the world seeing it for the first time again and again.
Wake up people move on. Nothing to see here. Remember: We The People...........and those of us who got included by amendments; the work was hard fought. Get on your fighting gloves, marching boots and get to moving. Life is happening.
